EZ Cleaner

Automatic head cleaner cleans the VCR video heads whenever a video tape is inserted, allowing for continued optimum picture performance. Limits routine head cleaning maintenance.

Stereo Hi-Fi Sound

True-to-life high fidelity recording and playback with two state-of-the-art audio heads.
Monaural Audio

One channel standard VHS sound for economy recording and playback.
MTS (Multi-Channel Television Sound) Stereo

Decodes programs broadcast in MTS Stereo so they may be recorded and played back in stereo.
SAP (Secondary Audio Programming)

Records and plays back the additional audio channel that is part of the MTS standard. The SAP audio channel, where available, is used to transmit either the audio portion or a program in a second language, or "described video" for people who are visually impaired. SAP is always monaural.

Zenith's exclusive, voice-directed operating system. VCR operation is explained in English by the one who knows it best: the VCR! Now SpeakEZ even provides feedback confirmation for programming operations as it goes through step-by-step instructions for everything from setting the clock to recording programs with the timer.
Bilingual SpeakEZ with Confirmation

Zenith's exclusive, voice-directed operating system. VCR operation is explained in either English or Spanish by the one who knows it best: the VCR! Now SpeakEZ even provides feedback confirmation for programming operations as it goes through step-by-step instructions for everything from setting the clock to recording programs with the timer.
EZ Set Up

Auto Set Up procedure. When first plugged in and powered on after the antenna or cable is connected, the VCR begins a series of automatic set-up operations. In less than six minutes, it will have determined the correct band position for its tuner, identified and programmed all available channels into its memory, and set its own clock (where XDS signal is available).
EZ Clock

Clock time is updated every time the VCR is turned off (where XDS signal is available).
EZ Record

Use Instant Timer Recording (ITR) to start the VCR recording and have its timer turn it off up to four hours later. Each press of a single button adds thirty minutes to the record time. Optimum way to record without programming the timer in advance.
EZ Skip

Commercial Skip feature automatically skips up to two minutes during tape playback. Press the remote control "CM SKIP" button one, two, three, or four times for 30, 60, 90, or 120 seconds, respectively. VCR skips a full two minutes of commercials in about eight seconds (EP mode) and then resumes normal playback.
EZ Programming

Automatically programs all available channels for quick scanning and recording. Channels can be easily added or deleted as desired.
EZ Load

A gentle nudge on the cassette prompts the VCR to load/reload the videotape for instant playback or immediate recording.
EZ Start

Inserting a prerecorded videocassette automatically causes the VCR to turn on, play the tape to the end, rewind, eject the tape and then shut itself off. Ideal for smaller children watching prerecorded tapes.
EZ Connect

Front A/V In jacks are concealed, but allow easy connection of a camcorder or another VCR for copying and/or editing video tapes.

SC354 Remote Control

Ergonomically designed remote permits convenient control of VCP model.
AC/DC Operation

For personal TV viewing at home with standard AC power or portable viewing in cars, boats and RVs with 12V DC power (cable included).
VCR Plus+

Designed especially for use with outdoor antennas or cable systems that do not require a decoder box. Entering the PlusCode of the desired program automatically programs the timer for virtually foolproof recording.
Auto Daylight Savings Adjust

Can be turned on or off to automatically adjust the clock for the twice-a-year time change.
Shuttle on Deck

Permits control of speed search, frame advance and picture pause at the VCR itself, without having the remote control
High Speed Rewind

Incredibly fast mechanism completely rewinds T-120 videocassettes in approximately 80 seconds or less.
Lighted Icon Controls

Permit one-glance operation/status check of the VCR. Control buttons are shaped like the function they control and most light up when activated. Easy and unmistakable way to know what button to press, or when the VCR is playing, paused, fast forwarding, etc.
Automatic Dimmer

Automatically dims VCR display when power is off.
On-Screen Programming

Simple step-by-step on-screen instructions for timer programming, clock setting and tuner and VCR set-ups--all through the remote control. SpeakEZ even reads the English instructions out loud.
Repeat Playback

Especially useful for video demonstrations where an operator is not available. With Repeat Playback activated, the VCP will play a tape to its end, automatically rewind it, then play it again. When this feature is left activated, the tape will repeatedly play back on the end, then restart.
Dew Indicator

Indicates excessive moisture condensation is in the unit. The unit will not operate if the DEW indicator is on.
Forward/Reverse Speed Search

Displays picture playback at 7x speed in either direction.
1 Year/8 Event Timer

Program up to eight different programs, including automatic weekly or daily repeats, up to a year in advance.
Automatic Tape Speed Adjustment

VCR automatically adjusts recording speed from SP to EP to insure enough tape to complete recording.
Cassette Indicator

Indicator light shows when cassette is inserted in machine and whether it is playing or not.
Auto Rewind

At the end of the tape, cassette automatically rewinds, ejects, and power is turned off.
Trilingual Menus

Set up and operate the Entertainment Machine with English, Spanish, or French on-screen menus.
Channel Add/Delete

Customize the channel selection by deleting seldom watched channels or adding new channels to the scan sequence.
Record/Play Speeds

Records tapes at SP and EP speeds. Plays tapes that have been recorded in either SP, LP, or EP.

On-Screen Time/Date/Channel Display
